Sun VPN has servers in 7 countries. They also have multiple servers within the United States. This is good as you have the option to choose the country that you are supposedly from. Sun VPN supports all three of the major VPN protocols, PPTP, L2TP and OpenVPN. So, which VPN protocol is best for you?

PPTP is usually considered faster, but less secure than other protocols. Nevertheless, Android and Apple have native support for PPTP and it is extremely easy to setup. L2TP is also easy to setup and is considered extremely secure. OpenVPN is the most secure protocol and cannot be blocked by firewalls since it can use any port.

SunVPN also supports all major platforms and operating systems Windows, Linux, Mac, IOs Android and Apple. Sun VPN has its own VPN clients. Once you purchase a plan, they will email you the installation file. Installation should be pretty straightforward. You can find setup instructions on their VPN setup guide page.

There are servers in 7 different countries, viz- Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Romania, Singapore, HongKong and three servers in the United States.

Sun VPN Packages and plans

Sun VPN offers 3 plans for its customers. Mobile Plan, SSL Plan, and a combination of Mobile and SSL plan. The cheapest plan is the Mobile plan with $9.9 per month. The drawback here is that it only supports PPTP. This may be suitable for mobile, but if you want more security in your PC or Mac, you will have to shell out more for the SSL plan. At $14.99 per month, it is not exactly the cheapest VPN service. The third plan is a combination of Mobile+SSL so that you can use the service interchangeably between you mobile and PC.

Advantages

  • 24×7 Customer support
  • Unlimited Speed
  • Unlimited Traffic
  • Technical support in helping you set up the client

Sun VPN has 24×7 customer support, which is its biggest advantage. They promise to respond to your queries within 2 hours. They also offer unlimited traffic and unlimited speed.

Disadvantages

  • P2P not allowed
  • Not so cheap

The biggest drawback is that they don’t allow P2P, i.e. Torrent downloads. Also, the price is not that reasonable. There are cheaper providers who will offer more features for lesser price.

Conclusion

Although Sun VPN is not the best VPN provider, they do have  good customer service and technical support. It is good for normal users who are not so tech savvy. However, if you plan on downloading lots of movies and games through torrent,  Sun VPN is not for you. Also, they do not mention anything about not storing logs, which basically means that your anonymity is not guaranteed in case you do something illegal.
