Brave, the privacy-focused web browser, is stepping up its game by introducing features that enhance internet privacy for its users. Although the firewall and VPN capabilities aren’t exactly new, since they’ve been available on the mobile version of the browser, they’re now making their debut on the desktop platform.
Seamlessly integrated into the latest version of Brave Browser, both features are set to provide immediate functionality and improved online security for users in select regions. So, get ready to enjoy a safer browsing experience!
More private internet browsing
The Firewall + VPN feature will help make browsing the internet more private. Once activated, it will allow hiding the IP address, changing the online location, accessing the content you want without
geographical restrictions, preventing your ISP from spying on your activities and protecting the device from unwanted network traffic, even from other applications.
Even when enabled, the feature should not have too much impact on the internet speed on the PC. As Brave notes, it works with speeds up to 500 Mbps. So there should be no slowdown when loading pages!
Currently, the Firewall + VPN feature is being rolled out in several regions on both macOS and Windows. For users who want to take advantage of it, the feature is priced at $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
