HideMyAss has always been regarded as one of the leaders in the VPN industry. Just last week they released a major update, version 2.1, of their popular VPN client for Mac OSX.
The features packed in the newest HMA VPN client for Mac has many similarities to the Windows version.
HideMyAss Pro VPN for Mac OSX Features
The VPN client displays a world map listing all the servers HMA provide.
This gives users a better geographical overview as to which servers to connect to, depending on where they are located. Usually, the closer you are to the server, the better connectivity you’ll have. Users will also be able to compare speeds of all HMA servers.
The HMA Mac software has a feature that will automatically change the IP address. It also gives the users an option of viewing and verifying their IP address history. HMA had set the application to only work while the VPN is connected.
The dedicated client for Mac OS also comes with a Billing & & Packages tab wherein users can manage their subscription, check the billing cycle and even know about service / promo offerings by the VPN company.
Other improvements include:
- 1-click installer
- Design upgrade
- Stability improvements
In order to make the HMA! v188.8.131.52 client for Mac to work, users have to be running Mac OSX Lion or newer on their machines.
Improved Client for Windows Too
Windows users are also treated to a shiny new look of the Windows HMA app at v2.8.11. HideMyAss recommend users running the Windows HMA client to update to the latest version to enjoy a better experience using the top-notch VPN service.
As of this writing, HideMyAss’ server count has now reached 670 across 91 countries. HMA users can access 85,000+ IP addresses and choice from the wide range of servers located worldwide.
