Earlier today, it was revealed that Evernote fell to a DDOS attack over the last 24 hours and now, it’s reported that news aggregator Feedly and music streaming service Deezer have suffered the same fate. It’s understood that the three attacks have been coordinated by the one criminal outfit.
Deezer noted on Twitter that it is investigating the issue and are now back online, while Feedly have posted updates on their blog, claiming that the criminals have demanded a ransom.
“The attacker is trying to extort us money to make it stop,” they wrote. “We refused to give in and are working with our network providers to mitigate the attack as best as we can.”
Feedly added that they are working with “other victims of the same group” as well as the authorities.
