Bitcoin Core version 0.9.1 has been released to address security concerns over this week’s Heartbleed OpenSSL controversy (also known as CVE-2014-0160). There has been widespread reaction from the major tech players to patch the issue in their systems but Yahoo were not as quick to act.
Bitcoin exchanges have been the prime target for hackers for months so many cyber criminals must have been salivating at he thought of easy access to an exchange. The new Heartbleed fix should address this issue. Bitcoin.org is urging all users to upgrade ASAP.

This is a maintenance release to fix an urgent security vulnerability (CVE-2014-0160); all users should upgrade.
